Which air filter is right for my home?
It depends on what you want to capture. MERV 8 handles everyday dust, lint, and pollen; MERV 11 steps up for pet dander and finer dust; MERV 13 targets the smallest particles. Choose the highest MERV your system comfortably supports.
How do I change my air filter?
Turn the system off, slide out the old filter, and note the size on its frame. Insert the new one with the airflow arrow pointing toward the furnace or air handler, then power the system back on.
How often should I replace it?
Most 1 inch filters are changed every 1-3 months. Homes with pets, allergies, or heavy dust may need to swap sooner, so check yours regularly.
What are Feelair filters made of?
They use pleated synthetic filter media held in a sturdy frame. The pleats add surface area for steady airflow and particle capture.
What's the difference between air, furnace, and AC filters?
They're essentially the same thing: a filter that cleans the air moving through your HVAC system. The different names just reflect where people use it. What matters is the correct size and MERV level.

Why does my system have more than one filter?
Some central systems pull air back through more than one return, each with its own filter. Check every return grille and the air handler so you replace them all.

Our filters come in 6-packs, which typically covers about a year of regular changes for one filter slot. Buy more if you have several returns or change filters more often.
Are pleated filters better than fiberglass?
Pleated filters generally capture more and finer particles than basic fiberglass while still allowing good airflow, as long as you pick the right MERV for your system.

How do I find my filter size?
The size is usually printed on the frame of your current filter (for example, 20x20x1). If not, measure the length, width, and depth of the slot.

We focus on replacement air filters and don't provide HVAC installation or repair services.
